Hello everyone! I was in Budapest this week for a 3 day city trip. It was a little bit too short to visit everything that we heard was worth it, but nevertheless 3 days was enough to get a general view of the city. These are the things I will remember the most about the capital of Hungary:
- the many many beautiful high buildings
- the bridges that connect Buda with Pest
- the great view over the city
- the Jewish quarter with the ruin pubs
- the many vegetarian, vegan and gluten free restaurants
I eat gluten & lactose free for medical reasons and that can be a big problem when traveling. But not in Budapest! I would recommend Köles for the brownie chocolate cake and the strawberry coconut pie, Kozmosz for the spinach pasta and Napfenyes for the rice paper rolls with smoked tofu and the spelt pizza’s! Why is Belgium so far behind in gluten free food? Oh, I forgot to say that prices are very reasonable! You pay about 1500 HUF (+- €5) for a main course.
Everybody recommended us to visit one of the thermal baths & swimming pools, but we didn’t really feel like it since it was raining. Anyway, I think you’re waiting to see some pictures now, isn’t it? 🙂

Hope you enjoyed it!
Greetings, KOMALIBXL
